Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Cannibals.

I think the short story by Twain titled Cannibalism in the Cars is the best analogy for our corporate and political structure today.

It’s about politicians who, believing they are stranded in a snowstorm on a train, begin to nominate whom to eat so they may all survive. They follow Roberts rules of order the whole time. They praise those they’ve eaten and thank their families for their sacrifice.

In the end we learn they never left the station. They just assumed they knew all the facts and took drastic action.

One last plot twist I’ll leave for readers out there. Enjoy.

I disagree. A third party led the Donners into that debacle with bad advice. This is all on us.

Unless you are comparing DEShaw to the one recommending we take a pass that is closed in winter. Then I might be with you.

I think Lowe's is more like the Donner party that was headed for California.
