Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Home Services may be "salvaged"?

Just read the CNBC article saying home services "may be salvaged". Anyone know what that might mean for techs if liquidation is decided today? Think we'll keep working as the stores are liquidated?

In liquidation everything is up for sale, especially the most profitable divisions. Those would be sold first along with any real estate. Either they would be sold to another business or sold for parts. Just those two could bring enough money to get the bid money back. Then the liquidation of the stores would be profit.

There is an auction scheduled for January 14 at which time Eddie can bid for the pieces of the former sears but he better bring cash and not some silly credit/debt which may allow you to continue onward.

If Eddie is out bid, you will lose your job and all company owned material will be liquidated ie vans, phones, tools etc.
