Thread regarding Sears layoffs

This is getting annoying.

Everyone is talking about saving all these jobs. What about toying with all the employees making them sit on the edge of their seat wondering whether they will be employed much longer. They could be actively looking and applying for jobs. Most of the people I know at my store are drained and have had enough. Pull the band aid off already. Too much false hope.

If people aren't already actively looking and applying for jobs...they deserve no sympathy.

@doc I agree. I left a few years back, ended up with a better job making a lot more money and better benefits. People, you can jump from the crazy train, you don’t have to wait until your thrown off.

Nobody is forcing anybody to stay at Sears under these conditions ....I worked for Sears for over two decades and got out and found another job months ago.

I got tired of wondering when I would be out of a job at Sears and found something else.

I cannot see the point of hanging on at this stage of the game at Sears where things are this uncertain.

I'm kind've starting to enjoy standing around telling people we are not closing all day it's just really messy every where with huge open spaces filled with miscellaneous spaced out products and empty shelves, got a front row seat to watch this transformation go down

Another day gainfully employed is another day gainfully employed. Why worry excessively about the stuff beyond your control. Hunt for another job, and hopefully something turns up before this one ends.
