Our team leads does not include TBC MSS lead it includes the grocery lead the center section lead technology lead and the night team lead.

But I think every Club I just doing their own thing RZR on a three-week rotation r19 lead always works the 3 to 11:30 shift and the other three team leads one opens one mid and one closes and then they rotate

@ykp then optical going to 3rd party makes more sense now doesn't it??

Optical and pharmacy won’t increase their budgets to have high paid certified techs and licensed opticians to stock the shelves. That’s a huge waste of payroll for the club. So yes if this is true there will be exempt areas.

@dia no it does not work for those departments. Because they will have those people stock and helping night crew before the club opens. Then helping in other areas before their department opens. Sneaky little b--tards.

Optical and rx exempt like marketing

Jewelry will be covered by floor

This says the two schedules will be for all full timers, not just leads or floor associates. Those hours do not work for everybody. For example those hours do not work for photo associates, optical, jewelry, or tires.

Agreed. You get way more work out of leads if they come in early and can work with the overnight crew on things for a while.

They may be stocking your area but ultimately the execution of transitions, run extensions, and layouts is on the lead. If you are detached from the people who stock it falls apart fast. Which is what happens if you only close.

I guess they will succeed on getting a lot of people to step down if this rolls out company wide.

It’s a useless shift with the least amount of productivity. There are college kids and part timers that want to work those hours and can provide member service.

Guess the audits are going away then? Kind of been band aid on a nuclear bomb damage since they canned audit anyway.

What happens when a lead is on vacation? No lead? Doesn't make sense?? Or wait no PTO on your monthly closing shift lol

This is true but I heard it's not company wide.. our club in Brooksville is starting it Feb 9th. I think it would be great to have a set schedule.. but for team leads that have kids it is going to be rough since they will have to close for a month straight. But of you have seniority at your club and are not a team lead you have your choice of opening or closing and your choice of what two days off you prefer

I would be okay with a 1 or 2 week rotation but 4 weeks of closings is excessive. The same team leader who has to close all month December also has to close 2 summer months. God forbid we have families to take care of or children to raise

Oh I would absolutely love a set schedule. I wonder if it would be on a rotation like the TLs or set. So many questions. No information.

But ofc membership TL would be excluded because that role requires business hours, duh.

What use does a TL have closing so much?

Those are my easiest shifts of the week. Just drive a forklift the whole time dropping stuff.

so no more audits for team leads? That sounds amazing. Can’t do full category audits on closing shift. Also can’t stock, reset, and move pods and ends when the required features that were supposed to prevent changing them run low.

Ha! Forget that, not worth it, most of my associates get paid more than me anyway

I am a lead as well . Over the years we were responsible for the desk, club pick up,community involment etc . Now we work as fill ins at the desk or anywhere they need us . When I received the team leader job it was to lead, train and increase membership in all aspects of the job . I didn’t sign up to use my vehicle in the road every day . I didn’t apply for the membership coordinator ! I wish they would stop this and finally cut the cord . I am miserable . There is just no place for me to go now .

At X3vRHZT-1xtf I agree with you eliminate the MTL positions. They are making Coordinators out of us anyway

What about backroom associates seeing how they are a team lead pay now will they be in this rotation?

I am a marketing lead and really we are over paid coordinators. I would rather them eliminate the position. We don't have a team anymore. Time to change things up and get rid of that title.

But some of the managers do close four of the five days we work. And the other day is 10 to 8 or 9 to 7. So the managers have the closings also. It is the fresh managers that do not close.

Managers should be required to close four weeks straight as well. Lead by example.

That will keep me from parenting my child for a month at a time. At the end of the day, it's just a job. That will be the breaks and time for me to move it on along.

That's why your not gonna be a teamlead anymore. It's what the job wants. Not what you want. You work what the job wants you too.
