out of stock reports faked by stores

i was brought up while visiting a sister store that there are teams in the region getting zero get that zero out of stocks when the items were out of stock for days.

we reviewed the reports for the stores getting 100 % in stock conditions and the last date sold doesn’t match the instock conditions so there is something wrong here.

why are we noticing these issues but regional coordinators and ec’s turn a blind eye to this?

lying to amazon and share holders to boost our stock is immoral and could be illegal.

post if you know stores are faking the out of stock reports!

NA TL, can confirm this gets done. No one cares how you get the number just make sure it's good on the Tuesday report

No one notices this stuff because no one cares. Not regional. Not global. Not stl. Not tl. No one. It's all about the perception. For the customers and for anyone else looking, internal or otherwise. Put a program in place. Show how it's working (whether or not it actually is) and get promoted. Then program gets forgotten.... No one actually cares. It's how Whole Foods has worked for a very long time.

I know plenty of stores faking this scan each Sunday,How stupid can whole foods leadership be ? Hire a third party company to do these scans so they are fair,if you are going to to send an email out each week comparing all the stores then make sure it's an even playing field for all,OTS is s--- a joke and when will they wake up ?

The one that gets me are the stores that leave up 80 disco tags for 10 weeks in a row. The discos help's you lower your %. But regional doesn't care as it helps the region look good.

I agree with stores scanning off there UNFI OOS on Sat.

Don’t forget the TMs that work on Sundays prior to the scans!!! not restocking the holes, especially items that are stocked in more than one place!!!

I don't doubt that that happens in some places, but for my store usually the opposite is true. I have had items come up as controllable even though the same report shows they have been out of stock (not received) for 6 straight weeks. And then there's the mispicks, billed not received, and items that come in damaged that we can do nothing about. Not to mention items in multiple locations that don't get filled to each, items in the back room or on shipments that don't get filled at all prior to the scan, and the things misplaced by customers or careless stockers. I can find something on that report that shouldn't be every week, for one reason or another. I'd suggest keeping track of the errors. Let the cheating stores cheat; if anyone comes waving the report in your face you can shut them down.

I am fairly certain stores are plugging in all of the OOS their UNFI OOS invoices to inflate the UNFI OOS %, regardless of how many of those items they actually ran oht of. How else can you explain slow stores with 300 OOS at 20% controllable?

When humans are asked to do anything that is based on an honor system, there will always be corruption.

Walgreens and other retailers are starting to use scanning robots for this purpose. Within a few years all retailers will have them.
