I'm not a shill, and throwing punches with skin in the game... Netscape. They invented the browser but where are they now. Apple was almost done til some funky computers in kinda hip colors made it easy to access the .net. Retailing on the net is still in it's infancy. The winners of retail in the next ten years will be the ones that pitch the product the best, displaying in a movable pseudo 3d image, and deliver to home done by local delivery making it more personal or BnM in 3 days or less. The retailer will use it's BnM location as a WH to supply. They will understand trends, create apps that view current affairs to understand it and indirectly influence those trends. Supporting "Green small footprint", "local, non corporate", and last ability of hard goods promoted. And last NO layers of management; ideas are made and channeled downstream to frontline. OH and move out of Illinois.

I think OP just watched Nat Geo's documentary about Netscape tonight, lol. Probably while high.
Browser wars. Netscape-Microsoft-Yahoo-Google. It continues to morph. Retail swims in the same Sea. EVERY woman that walks into my store has a phone in her hand. She wants the net experience but wants to touch the product and talk to a human as well. A good salesperson can influence her. Provide her the physical sales experience. But she has done research on the product before hand. We need to get before the sales process to influence her to trust us, SHLD, and SHOS and choose us. And get this we might be $10 to 15 dollars more than our competitors. But something we do on our site,... Greet and present, and display in a pseudo rotating pic along with some type of outside influence gains her trust.
