I am a manager and I am in the same boat as everyone else. What we've been given is #'s affected for each team but no names. Have no idea when the actual # will be told to the employees.

Most groups around me have only 2 or 3 employees, so likely won't be touched. It's good to be on a lean team during a layoff.

I call b---s--- on the management double speak. If managers do not know, then who does? There is no way HR is arbitrarily selecting who to lay off without some guidance. Directors and higher are usually too far removed to make those types of low-level decisions for areas that are not being eliminated. Managers had to either provide lists or input into who would be sacrificed the GM Gods. The only remaining question is which of the nominees were cleared to be notified.
I have heard, 8 level manager don't know but 9 level manager do. True?
Manager of a team here in Austin. HR has just informed us they have the names and will be providing us with them this week possibly as soon as tomorrow so we can finish allocating for the year. I'm sure they'll give us more information as to when and how to disclose this information to our team.
Interesting I'm a manager. My peers and I have been told nothing about even the numbers affected.
mgrs don't know if they are affected. I was told that by end of January the reduction will happen. It is possible that I am one of the 5....I was thinking it would be today (pass the 1st pay period) and likely wanted to pay for everyone for 2 weeks and then his/her severance kicks in.
Thanks for elaborating. Did they give you a time-table as to when the layoffs for your team would occur? And are you worried that you're one of the 5? Or is it guaranteed subordinates
Sales and Marketing IT reduction is 30%. Now there was some attrition on certain teams near the end of the year but the numbers were submitted in December. so yes, some teams might be 25% because someone left early December or submitted resignation for end of the year, etc.
the 30% is based on the over Org under Sales and Marketing and the # that needs to be reduced to get to 30%. This is across all innovation centers.
My team - 17 people and I was told 5 were going to be reduced.
