Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

What's going on?

Are we expecting anything to happen or be announced this week? Or are we now in that insufferable waiting pattern that can last for months?

I am so tired of reading these comments about managers always being in offices. Our managers are always on the floor helping out with everything needed in the store. They are constantly being called for one thing or the other. Maybe you are in the break room or bathroom on your phone too often so you don’t see them.

To better serve customers we need red vests in the aisles not managers in offices.

@X8V8ScI-hei- if that is the case, how does adding more managers help put more red vests on the floor? Is Lowe's becoming Walmart? Store manager, Assistant manager, zone managers, cart managers??? Just not seeing how this helps take care of customers better!

Fy19. Week 1. Regions will shrink with new ones added. Districts will shrink and realign and more district / regional staff to be added. To better serve customers Marv wants smaller districts with less area to cover.

It's Lowe's anything can happen and usually does. One thing is certain; expect more work as Marvin and the Marvettes try anything and everything to increase shareholder value.
