Town hall Thursday Jan 17 but rumors are flying that there will be some layoffs tomorrow Wednesday. Guess we have to wait and see what happens.

I remember visiting the HO of a major retailer when they had 1500+ stores. They didn't have half of the office space/ staff that Academy has now. If you want job security go work in the stores where you will do everything from unclogging toilets to having to deal with all the office people job justifying ideas.
Sorry, not done like finished, but petformed or executed on Thursdays. At least that is what I noticed during my time there. Both mass layoffs last year were executed on a Thursday (morning time), coworkers let go or fired on Thursdays (usually morning time) and I was also let go on a Thursday (at the end of the day to get work out of me, even though I allegedly s---ed).

If Academy continues with its pattern, layoffs amd firings are usually done on Thursdays.
A LOT of people from the merchant world were all speculating it was going on this week. Until I hear Ken Hicks himself say at the Town Hall tomorrow that there will be none, I will continue to think there is.
