Pretty sure it has to do with 2 things, if you are non agreement or agreement and they still need the crafts to get as much work done as possible before guys leave. Speculatively I also think up is trying to keep image and the sh-- morale stable by giving an early heads up rather than just telling those the day of.

There getting walked out lay off and furlough walking out the property and maybe facility closing so they told them the date ???
