Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

This is not a GAME this our LIVES !

From the time I started until the day I got let go (today) has been the worst years of my life. The talk around the office is that you have to learn to play the game.. I was blindsided. I was racially discriminated , put down & when discussed with HR everything was confinedential ... Yeah right , nothing is a secrete there . Terrible company. DO NOT WORK FOR BNY!

White male here, but yeah, I think they are pretty fair as to diversity. Race, gender, LGBT folks are all recognized and treated equally as far as I've seen publicly. Every turd has a shiny side I guess.

I am a person of color, have been in BNY for 3 years and can tell that I have been treated fairly. BNY may have problems but that is not one.

As a person of color myself, whenever someone starts pulling out the b---s--- race card in knee jerk fashion like this in response to a firing, it was never about race. Stupid victimization crying wolf by race baiters like this makes fighting actual racism in its modern subtle manifestations all the much harder.

2 weeks pay for every year of service plus you can still file for unemployment. Benefits continue until end of month for last SUB payments.
