Craftsman Deal

Does anyone remember the deal of 15% royalty on craftsman sales when Sears sold the craftsman brand, and is this part of the sale that everyone is bidding on? If this is part of the bid for Sears, there is still 12 years left of that royalty and should be a nice investment for the buyer!

Once again Eddie has snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! Kudos to you sir, we are not worthy!

Strange deal. Lately despite this Sears has also running ads against the new Lowe’s ads calling themselves “the original home of Craftsman”....Kind of like a outhouse calling itself the original bathroom

Sears also gets free reign to continue to use Craftsman all it wants and after those 15 years only has to pay a 3% royalty in return. After 25 years Stanley must reup the trademarks if they’re still using them or Sears can get them back.

If Sears becomes nothing more than an online retailer they can sell whatever the heck they want and slap craftsman labels on it.

Assuming the Judge approves Eddie’s deal they’ll be awash in lines of credit with little debt. Expect Sears to buy every Chinese tool in existence slap Craftsman on it and sell it at Sears, Sears.com, Kmart and Amazon.
