Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

What about train delays??

Has this affected the TA TD times any? Are trains still being on time? Are they still storing locomotives? HOW LOW CAN THEY GO BEFORE IT STARTS AFFECTING IN A LESS PRODUCTIVE WAY? is there really that much fat?

Yes an apology tour for sure! Hopefully our customers don’t move goods to trucking companies for better service. This is absolutely unbelievable.

Td ta otr numbers games. As mentioned below, they just lie. T-planned crew change points are merely a suggestion. They have failed to cost center the recrewing. Eestern railroading is a heckuva lot different when your crews can be hundreds of miles from where you need them

There are constant delays due to power and crew shortages. The company simply lies to the customers about why. Hell the company consistantly lies to itself about recrewing trains. We recrew trains all the time , but instead of calling it a recrew they say its an Engine move or they call a crew to "deadhead" without actually going to another terminal.

Numbers look good...despite all the noise and weather events.

Delays don’t matter now. PSR is causing a complete rethinking of how the railroad operates. They expect this. They’re looking to the future when they’ll be running much more profitable trains with less employees. This is merely a bump in the road for them.

Heard between Nampa and soda ash they are 77 units short as of late last week and not to mention some terminals scrambling to fill their pwr needs

They have already cut to deep but they aren't gonna admit it. In a year or two a new regime will be on a an apology tour to customers like the canadian railroads.
