Macy’s needs to focus more on “Customer Service” and the “Customer’s Experience” rather than pushing their CREDIT CARD!
Instead of making a BIG freaking deal out of a colleague getting 8 credits in a day, how about a BIG freaking deal for the way they handled a difficult customer situation. All these contests in store that pit collegues against each other, why not some TEAM building thrown in there? Let’s make it about “US” and not all these “ME’S”!
We have a couple collegues In RTW areas that NEVER do recovery or clean out fitting rooms. They do nothing but ring up customers and opens credits. Mgmt LOVES them and nothing else is expected. What if everyone worked this way??? What happened to WORK ETHIC!!
And we wonder why brick and mortar stores are going out of business?? Why go and shop where there is no customer service when you can shop online in the comfort of your own home and not have to worry about a pushy sales person that only cares about one thing... opening a dang credit card!
Couldn't agree more with @WraNdRe-1akbn. Not to mention, customers hate when we keep pestering them about credit and yet we are encouraged to keep doing it.
