Name one? Must've been led by a smart guy with a proven track record of success, and probably not a complete buffoon with fourteen years of complete and total failure under his belt.

On the other hand, how many retailers have filed for Chapter 22?

Based on the examples above Sears & KMart likely have another year or two before they're gone.

Of course most expect to see additional waves of closures stating any time now, and I personally think KMart will be killed off first so Eddie can concentrate on trying to save Sears.

Your examples are of 2-4 years between bankruptcy. Eddie took 16 years and the company isn't dead just yet. Kmart is on bankruptcy No. 2 while Sears is only on No.1.

Successfully? Well continuing to exist for 16 years is some kind of success.
