With all the plants being relocated why isn't there grief counseling being offered for loss of family members. Honeywell has always said we are a family and we work together to support our Honeywell family. Well our new CEO has no or Ho definition of family values. $$$$$$ is all he cares about. I hope all you all survive and don't do the deep dive. Bless all you and me poor bastXXds.

The simple truth is if you are unable to make it to Director level or above, you really have no chance to get ahead financially. You may be able to eek out a decent family experience, but have no chance at big/life changing money. I do know they are beginning to clamp down on those making it to Director level and above as far as stock/bonus and salary. HON has obviously been clamping down on raises to band 3 and below for over a decade as well (Health insurance is brutal, raises 3% or lower, 401k degraded (once a year match lol) - used to be 8% dollar for dollar match, pension no longer offered to new employees, no more parties, sports leagues, Christmas party, etc., . I believe the decision has to be made if it's worth it to give up what you need to get to that level. Be careful...I know a ton of VP and Director level folks who make great money but are of ill health, drink too much to take the pressure off, overweight, no time to exercise, have deteriorating family/marriages because they are stressed out and working long hours. Be careful what you wish for people. I would say most higher level corp positions are like that now days. Put your time in and job hop to other companies is my advice...new grads get a year in and then get the big raise at a company that values you. I'm long retired in my low 40's due to starting my own business...I got lucky and was in right place at right time. I suggest side hustles that allow you to figure out what makes you happy and then start a business. Eventually it will work out...one needs multiple income streams in my opinion now days...especially if you have a family and kids. Good luck to all!
What NEW skills? Unless you work on the "chosen" projects in a "chosen" hub, you'll never learn anything worth anything less than contracting on old crud for the rest of your career after HON lays you off.
That's why whether you ever worked at HON or not, you MUST make your advances on your own ambition and choose wisely as best you can. Take night classes if you have to.
The "depressing and aimless". That is the HON motto. At least at the old AS/Bendix/King/etc. it was at least an exciting place to work.
Good luck to you sorry mofos left (!).
Its all about their bonuses and appeasing the stock gods, this versus you know actually fixing things and investing. Oh well, get your experience and skill then move on before your plant moves, this place isn't a permanent work residence
Days gone by. I remember when an employee passed, they offered the surviving spouse a job..... again days gone by.
Do you really think they care after all that's transpired? Look at working from home fiasco, approved to WFH then forced back into a Honeyhell location then forcing them back to the hub site. Ain't doing it, I retired.
I'm looking forward to the day when they kick me to the curb. While it's been a good paying job for many years, the thought of spending the rest of my working life at Honeywell is one of the most depressing and aimless existences I can fathom.
He has extremely strong family values - his family, not to your family.
