Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

PTC..... how many PTC’s are having to train managers and teams right now?

I have to have training classes with all of these associates before the end of March. After 20 plus years, I’m not training anyone. Bitter, yes! You have decided they can do the job so be it.

To each it’s on your opinion is respected. However, after all the years I’ve spent in my club I care to much about the people not to share my knowledge. I knew, WE KNEW this was coming some wanted to ignore the writing that was on the wall. Blessings to us all, one door closes there is another opens. We were all comfortable, Change is good. Bet you things will get done now, my club lacked support of personnel so.

Thats funny its sounds like some of you have some bad PTC’s. Yeah they are out there however there are a more than a few that are damn good to the club. The reason they need to train is because of how much they actually do. I guess some of you do not see that. If they didnt’ do anything I guess training the managers/team leads would be pointless right? Talk sh-- now and see what happens when they walk out the club and your own GM can’t even fix your time in the system, handle pay check issues, help you with your benefits or much less understand them or depend on them for anything relevant to your life. You want to complain call workday and count your blessings on how long it takes to get an answer. You talk bad about the PTC however how many mangers know how to pull an associate through the system after they decide to hire them.

When our PTC was let go, she was not allowed to do ANYTHING in her position. We were a test market. I bet they discovered that was the wrong road to go down hence them having you train those to do your job. It's been a hard transition without our PTC.

Resentment is a bad place to be. Hopefully you get past it. It can ruin you.

Amazing to see peoples reaction. Company felt the floor associates could do the job, don’t expect the PTC to train them and then tell them good bye.

The ones that are. Allying them bitter, wAit until your job is gone.

I’ll be leaving the end of March and while I’m not happy at all to be leaving, I’ll still train who I need to so the job will still get done. I don’t want to do it, but it’s a company decision and I’m not going to make it anymore difficult for the managers and team leads. I have to sit down with the “Change Champion” to train them and also sit down with teamleads to make sure they know what they’re doing on Workday. I’ve been with the company for over 16 years and even though I hate the decision the company made, I’m not going to screw over my coworkers by not training them.

TBH I'm not training anyone. I will work until my end date and be amicable but this is rediculous to expect me to teach/train my replacement.

Home office can send tool kits and teach and train their managers. Since you know that's their job.

I am taking severance and if most of you with half a brain and talent should probably as well.

Good Luck :)
