Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Do they know?

Do the new department supervisors know that they are now front line troops and not “executives” hiding out in offices? At my store they don’t seem to know this, especially the ones that were “demoted” from service managers. We are still understaffed because our department supervisors aren’t on the floor helping, they have been tasked by the ASMs and SM.

It will depend on how the store is ran. A well runned store with a Store Manager trying to make it profitable will have to force the D.Supervisors to be floor coverage, I mean Department assistance. There's no way around it. Now how many stores will actually do it???? To be determined!

They don't care. They bragged about how they have no plans to do anything but bark orders. Even the new ones came in saying they have no intention of being work horses or doing the work in a department if there isn't any assigned there. Poor management of the sales floor managers. Most service managers were lazy pets of the store manager and now they are lazy sales floor managers who refuse to do any real work. Total waste of money.
