Hearing this for April (aka Verizon 2.0)

Hmm.... some stores just finished trials of store commission...
So as someone who trailed the team comp for a year I will solemnly tell you that this is false. The idea of team comp was squashed in q4 2018 and will not return unless the structure is revamped. I was in the meeting where this was “confirmed” and if was just some jackass making a suggestion.
Next moves will be store closings especially malls .. no retail company wants to be in malls anymore... malls are dying off... all retail stores will end up sold to indirects with a few select corporate stores kept in larger areas. It’s happened in other wireless retailers the last few years already.
Easy way to get sales reps to quit.. reduce the workforce without having to pay severance or unemployment..
And no HUMS to slam...gonna be rough going
I’d have to take the first door out at that point. Would be very upset if they did that.
Lets be honest. Retail has no future. Milk it while you can kids.
Yikes ! I hope not! I know it’s currently being trialed right now but if it goes to team commissions it will take the incentive and drive out of sales :(
Not smart in my opinion. But there’s been a steady decrease of pull through items over the last year or so and maybe Verizon figures they are losing anyways idk
It will be interesting to see what changes 2.0 brings for retail
Lol all the good reps have no more incentive to sell on a team structure.
I’m fine with it. I no longer consider commission part of my salary. I think of it as a small monthly bonus.
Yup OP is right on that one.
