Buyback may be open market or under an insider plan Rule10b5-1. Look it up. Insiders can get liquidity out of the $12b O cash. Lots of liquidity.
Remember, earnings per share are per fewer shares with buybacks. Flat means real earnings decrease. Small increase under 10% decrease.
Issue is once you are an Oracle customer, it isn't easy to get out.
Even if customers aren't happy and want to switch.
This is why Oracle is a cash cow generator. That is why buy backs work in helping stock at the same level.
Jeez, another 12B??? that's becoming ridicolous, Oracle has definitely become a pure financial corp rahter than an engineering corp..... what a pity.
And if the cash flow is so good, why are we buying back? means that no one else will buy and the stock collapse if not?
Oracle’s cash flow generation capacity is going to hell in a hand basket, I.e., you must have customers to have cash low. In oracle’s case, old ones are running away as fast as they can and no new ones are signing up. Dead in the water.
If Oracle continues to produce big cash flow as it does , there will be more buy back and therefore stock is holding up and there is no margin calls.
