Dolores and commerce are already one roster, a few people have tried to merge with west Colton before, so they could buy a house in the inland Empire and keep their seniority, but everyone else said no.
Ot true at all
TPA is your overtime you worked that year, but since the u.p has a moratorium on O.T your guarantee will be less but your union leaders need to stay on top of this!
Whats TPA?
Yeah they measured it again recently, they are all 47.2 miles away.
Would not be surprised if they close West Colton or Dolores. Jimbo and the hit man crew were at Dolores for a full week. West Colton is a heavy repair shop. With locomotives being placed in storage, heavy work at Colton would not be needed.
Did you ask your local president?
Let’s hope your union bros and sisters at the top do you right if they close one of these locations
And I do believe since the mileage between these locations are 50miles or about is one of the stipulations in the 1964 Washington agreement
It’s very possible, if one these shops close the 1964 Washington agreement will take effect just like Denver mechanical experienced, if your roster seniority Is put in a worst state due to a shop closure you should be able to excercise your seniority, and the location that closes those employees should be eligible for a 3 year guarantee under the 1964 Washington agreement, in Denver prior to closing the Burnham shop u.p cut all the overtime so are t.p.a would be smaller on are guarantee, our guarantee just ended 2 days ago and now we are all walking on egg shells! good luck L.A basin.
50 plus mile difference in locations, I highly doubt that.
