Thread regarding Sears layoffs

This annoys the heck out of me

Anybody else getting customers who keep gushing about how happy they are that Sears is still standing and then turning around and leaving without buying anything - or just buying the bare minimum?

Yes, that's exactly the kind of support we need to survive this in the long run...

OP they probably didn’t buy anything because of your attitude. If we’re going to turn Sears around we have to be obsessed about our customers. What makes them happy and what makes them want to buy. It starts with fantastic attitudes from our associates who genuinely appreciate them and understand them for their long term value.

I’m guessing if she had given you a second you would have just done an over ride for .22 off. For such a small amount we always would have just taken care of the customer, what a waste of time to argue and get a price check for something some trivial

Welcome to closing a store! That’s why I told myself I could never do it again even when they asked me to close another store down the road after I finished with my store. Store closing brings out the worst in some people

I'm at a liquidating store, and some beach went off on me saying she's glad we're closing, we're screwing people out of their hard earned money, we're liars, we're cheats, we're all rotten to the core, we all deserve to be out of work, etc, etc, and you know why? Because she couldn't get 22 cents back, because something rang up for $1.22 instead of $1!!

I go online and nothing I want is available at my local stores or for shipping. I have a Sears and a Kmart within 10 miles of me. I bought a lot of stuff last year. Now the prices are higher and $59 free shipping means I don't and usually can't buy anything I want.

I ordered twice recently for store pickup and both were cancelled because they didn't actually have the stuff like they said.

Sorry guys but I'm done.

"Support"? this isn't a charity. People vote with their wallets, and the voting has been very clear, Sears does not have the products or services people want. Period.

Great example of Sear's continuing problems. The customer is voting that Sears does not have the products people want to buy.

Fair weather shoppers, and even then they are not really shopping, are they?

What do you expect?

Nothing about Sears has changed. The same merchandise, drab outdated stores, limited selection on items.

Give the customer a reason to shop/purchase something other than an announcement that Sears is still in business and maybe they will buy something.
