Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Team Commissions “Confirmed”

Whoever posted the team commissions coming in April is absolutely correct (confirmed from credible sources). Plus all the DMs, GMs & SMs are playing DUMB abt it. They’re doing it so people don’t start complaining, having conversation with them or HR and make a big deal abt it, etc. It’s even confirmed that only ones who will benefit from this are: Everyone else but “US” frontline wireless workers or Solution Specialists. Want even more? Their “AIM” is to cut everyone’s commission down to $500 & try it to see who stays & who leaves. We gotta stay strong and thoroughly involve CWA into this. This is Robbery guys!!

Verizon team commission is awful. I’m curious on the future of being a sales rep in this company. What are they going to do in the long run. Verizon pushes reps to sell everything they can however a rep is only paid a minimum of commision. The team goals are unattainable and not realistic. Even if I busted my a-s I would only make a couple hundred depending on how the store does as a whole…

This is nonsense being put out to stir union push.. and a commission change is not known by your GM but a couple days earlier than a rep..

You think your a salesperson? Once you lose your job at VZ, you will see your experience as a store rep is useless. Shut up and be an order taker. VZ money is not out there in the real world. You will be folding clothes at Marshalls.

What do you want? Commissions for phones that sell themselves? Go sell cars and work for your money...

@2beq, the current comm structure is a failure also, nobody in my store is making what they used to, and we're selling more, it's great for the company, think of the millions they are saving every month by not paying us. We sell more make less, company makes more....happens with every comp change. At some point there will most likely be no commission, just hourly, and it will be a $11 an HR job.

As a GM I can confirm this post is bogus. Have not heard any talk about this, and trials have proven to be a failure.

Hopefully it is April fool bud. But things don’t look that way. In some markets, they are doing training already bcz they want to implement it. And also, may be ur one of those lucky folks who’s store did unionize. It should be done country wide.

They were doing team commission close to my area last year as a test and they went to the new commission structure that everyone else as a sales rep does not. That could vary by area though.

This is not “ confirmed “ or true. I work in a retail store that is under union contract. In accordance with our contract we must be notified 90 days before a change in commission structure . We had our union steward call to confirm any potential changes and was told that any changes would be communicated 90 days beforehand. April 1st is certainly much earlier so this is an April Fool!
