In these tough times, all of us have to have HR &/or Training Dept’s # on speed dial. Do not take any harassments, Do not blindly say yes or Sign stuff. Do not sell the products which they want us selling most: HUMs, SMBs etc. when it doesn’t make sense. That wud be the efficient way to do this. If ya’ll think ur pressurized, note the time & date for the incident & report it immidiately( without having a senseless conversation with the SMs or GMs). I really wish if it all could be covered in the media, but we all know how corruption works I guess.

Ratings for SMs were plugged in back in late November. Tell me your layoff wasn't planned. I know there are exceptions and to those I'm sorry, but most SMs weren't worth a damn anyway.

Is just a matter of time before everyone is gone. Is not about helping grow the business is about letting go the talent we have, and not wanting to pay for working hard. More work less $$$$$$

Literally all of the stores in my entire market (Great Lakes) are keeping their current SM headcount. Every store in my territory has at least 2, some of the big stores have 3 still. This kind of stuff varies by Market, do not throw out blanket statements.

Only 1 SM was laid off in my district in WA. 4 laid off in another district next to ours. And 3 SM job openings closed from a separate district. No word on any stores closing here. No word on any commission changes. Layoffs seem to be based off some type of algorithm they used depending on previous years performance appraisals, HR situations, FMLA etc.

I am also an SM that was laid off this morning. This is all true as it was explained Verizon is reducing SM headcount to 2 per store. Received generous severance.

Stores in VA closing at end of March. All staff laid off. 3 weeks per year severance.

I am an Indirect Account Manager and I can confirm layoffs. I was notified this morning my position was being eliminated. The indirect agent channel and the national retail channels or combining. I believe the director of my channel was laid off as well. Gotta love VZW 2dot0 / 2point0 / 2.0

Yes very true! I’m an SM that was let go earlier this morning. I guess my DM got the last laugh after all! The crummy thing is they were super smart about the whole thing. 2019 Performance Agreements were just sent out along with wha your pay raise would be!!😂😂😂😂😂😂. To the blind eye that looks great but in the end the pay raise doesn’t go into affect until March 24. That’s 2 days after everyone’s official termination day which means, guess what, your don’t get the pay raise promised to you! Talk about getting kicked in the nuts!!

The last 6 months this board has been filled with rumor after rumor of retail layoffs but none have proven to be true. What makes this one true?

The information on here used to be very accurate. Now I believe very little of it.

Yes, very true & if asked anything abt Verizon 2.0 further, the management just plays it off saying they don’t have any idea. How they don’t have any idea? GMs & SMs are all safe based on the backing Area Manager provides them. It all comes down to screwing over Solution Specialists. They’re trying to make it into an Apple Store setting( making sure they slash off another $1000) from everyone’s paycheck.
