According to this article, Sam’s is picking up the pace and the results are better and better. I don’t see much of that success that they are talking about, at least not in my club. Is this just a story for the public, or are better days really ahead of us?

Why are you so worked up about this - get with the Identity Politics program. It is very simple - identify as a person of color - if you are a man, start wearing make up and a bra - tell people that you are in transition - then, when they treat you badly, file an ethics complaint for discrimination. Then, when they retaliate, which they will, file an EEOC complaint. The legal department at Sam's is full of social justice warriors. They will settle the dispute, and you can retire.

Removing dedicated HR employees from a large company is never a smart thing. They are just trying to save a buck because they will drop those responsibilities on to a manager or supervisor with no extra pay and expect the same job to be done.
