Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

The Company has the “do more with less” mentality that has store morale in the toilet

Here’s the truth - an effective manager should be able to get his or her projects done in a 50 hour work week. The Company knows this. The Company at the same time is continuing to slash hours in the store to save money. Not enough ASMs were staying over or coming in early to make up for the reduction of hours, so this is the Company’s workaround to get ASMs to stay and work longer hours. This has been in the works for quite sometime now and the reason I left my DHR position several months ago. The Company has the “do more with less” mentality that has store morale in the toilet. It’s not getting any better until our CEO resigns.

Thought this post by @XKW6rfW-ead should be more visible on the board.

Yes Ops are included at least in our area. Funny how some of those with children get special treatment in so many ways. Waiting for that lawsuit next. And let's make the SMs hourly to make them accountable for once.

Time the SM’s start earning their pay. Did this new hourly include the OP’s mgrs, our smarty OP’s won’t say, I sure hope so, she needs to be gone. She is always leaving early , late arrival all because of her children. We all have children but she thinks she’s special! She has told everyone that she has a guaranteed job, interesting....

Why have the ASMs been targeted in this way? Why do we not hold the SMs feet to the fire in any kind of way??? So wrong.

Any employee that backs BBB is foolish. You will be used and then put out like yesterday’s newspaper when they are done with you. Not sure why everyone doesn’t see there is zero loyalty on the company side, it’s just business, stand up and defend yourself people. Several key associates in NJ have contacted the Union, it’s time! I am still working at BBB as an ASM ( or should I say hourly) for the time being but I’m looking!!
