Retracting VSP

Anyone hear of any remaining VSP'ers being asked to stay? Those the realize they should have kept?

Even if this were true, which I doubt, why would anyone who volunteered to go WANT to stay?? That's nuts.

HR will not approve any extensions. You are off payroll on the date you were designated, regardless of what your mgt may ask you.

My Dept has asked for voluntary extensions. My mgr said they can ask but not force us. I said no. Out 3/22, start my next place 3/25. Best of luck to everyone!

hfl...your funny. Actually I start my new job (with benefits) on April 1st and a few weeks later I get a deposit of 200K before taxes in my bank account courtesy of VZ. Life is good!

@hds, if you believe for one second that they did not know exactly what they were doing, you’re the mo--n. It was well calculated, flawlessly executed, brilliant.

You’re here, doing the same exact work you always did, but now without the benefits you had been getting, aren’t you? And you think THEY’RE the ones who do not understand?

OP here -- I've moved on..with a new position lined up...was just a question based on something I heard.

Think again -- XKWyVz9-rst. Some orgs had zero rejections due to piss-poor leadership knowledge and decision making skills..where others had mostly rejections because of territory grabs. Zero to do with performance or "need"...but if that's what you want to delude yourself into thinking go right ahead.

They have asked several VSPers to come back as a contractor under SOR or through Infosys immediately after theirs end date (I am one of them). Our brilliant decision makers took so many VSPers without really understanding the impact of letting said person go. What mo--ns.....

OP, you need to move on, for your own well-being. Stop second-guessing yourself.

Return as a contractor if the separation’s too tough on you.

Needed personnel were denied the VSP.

Buh-bye.
