It’s just business.
There is no loyalty to company’s anymore as employees will jump to another job for more $$$ and sometimes give 2 weeks notice.
There’s no loyalty to employees anymore as it’s all about the $$$ for shareholders.
Keep your self trained, marketable and ready to go when required.

There never been royalty but purely based on need-each-other reason.
It's today's world and has been for a very long time. I give 100% to the employer while employed but I have no loyalty and never will. It all started to go down hill when they started calling the department, who's mission is to simply help manage people, HR (Human Resources) - we're simply a resource to achieve their goals. I don't, nor never have, planned on staying at one organization my entire career (in the workforce since 85).
