Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Sunday bloody Sunday

Wonder what's really going to be the point of this Sunday morning meeting. Any facts out there? Or just the normal complaints and waste of time reading it....

The managers laugh at any Vet Status in the store. Your not worth their time. Every time a cashier calls for the discount, they act like it’s the end of the world. Get out now.

Camo vests that were promised to all Vet’s in January, we were given a patch instead. I am a retired Combat Veteran and took off my patch weeks ago. You make a promise to your Veteran employees, keep it. You give a vest out for a photo opportunity, shame on you Lowe’s.

I have been seeing the orange shoes, orange crush sodas, and even a piñata of the Home Depot logo on LinkedIn— this makes us look stoopid to the rest of the business world. No one takes any of us seriously because of this juvenile behavior. A friend and myself (both ASMs) have been trying to get out, but no one wants to talk to us because they think we are hillbillies and will bring the childish antics demonstrated all over LinkedIn with us. Now the direction from the market and regional team to go with our Pro specialist and spy on depots customers. That’s a violation of integrity. Lowe’s has officially thrown out all business ethics!

You’ll hear about orange shoes, and how Home Depot used to wear blue shoes when Marvin was there. Then there is boiling water and how we have to give one degree more on top of what we are already giving so Marvin and his minions can get their bonuses. They will “award” a camo vest to a 92 year old veteran from WWII (I salute and respect veterans but not Lowes attempts to use their service as a marketing ploy). You’ll hear about the technology upgrades that are coming soon but in reality are years away (like graphical user interface for genesis). You’ll hear that sterling is going away and how billions were wasted on it. So much money wasted on that POS that it could have paid the wages of all who were let go over the past few years.

Short story is, it’s the same old, same old, stuff that could be better handled in a email. at least you get some passable food and paid to sit for two hours. We had Costco pastries, coffee in a box, warm orange juice, and water. The smart associates brought their own food.

Its always been about managers, corporate, and all their egotistical lies.

These punks all have tiny wieners, and feel macho by being in control by lying, and deceit.

Because they dont have the business acumen to run things honestly.

Grab the cheap, free food (if you get any) then nap during the Noremberg rally.

They really are no different that WW2 Germany, just to a lesser degree. But their mission statement, i,e, philosophy is the same - the use of force, intimidation, and threats.

F off Marv and your false prophet.

Diversity is a thing too. You know the kind where only black folk are diverse and everyone else is against diversity.

We get to hear about Marv and Joe McFarland’s genius strategy of beating Home Depot by turning into them....

They will probably throw in a couple videos of Lowe’s associates helping a customer in need... YAWN!

Good to great, boiling water, 200$ stock, yadda yadda.

Let’s not forget the Lowe’s cheer.. vomit.
