Wow. This will not go over well with customers. Charging tens of thousands of dollars for a copier and then no providing a guarantee or warrantee will create lawsuits. Simple as that.

I’ve tried to resist responding to “How does this affect employees” question. Here’s the dump and apologies in advance for this post.

You are an employee of a company only as long as revenue and margins in a market segment met external expectations.

If the TSG impacts current contracts; our Cerox collegies struggle with exlaing why we are backing out ofacontactcommitment . Translate: Money to pay customer because Xerox no longer honors something in assigned contact with a customer .

If the TSG is change and impacts to renewals or to furure ability to win bids against Competition; then, we may not win those competition.

Loss of Revenue = cost down actions

The TSG was one of the few remaining selling points on technology that has fallen behind some other competitors in quality and features. By taking it away, think Xerox is saying to its customers “We don’t care about you”.

Little do they know, almost every procurement agent will ask for it and negotiate terms and all Xerox management is doing is slowing down sell cycles on outdated tech and handing business to competition. Negotiating contracts has become very difficult for the sales force, yet management continues to offer little value here in my opinion. Good luck with the “announcement”.
