Lowe's cancels contract with Schneider

Logistics and trucking firm Schneider National Carriers Inc. (NYSE: SNDR) has lost its contract with Lowe's, which will result in close to 150 employees losing their jobs.

The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based firm gave notice to the state that on April 1 it will lay off 148 employees statewide as it permanently ceases its logistics and transportation services with home improvement retailer Lowe's Companies Inc. (NYSE: LOW)

How can we guarantee the customer an A-One experience, when we do not own every single step of the way at the retail store level (sales, installs, deliveries)?

Third party s---s all together.lowes needs to go back to in house drivers.Might cost more in Marvin's eyes but surely customers would appreciate it....after all we have paychecks because of customers

We had XPO (Mid-Atlantic Region). Lowe's fired them a few months back and replaced them with Spirit, who s--k only slightly less.

We used XPO for years, switched to Schneider about a year ago, and got word last month that we were going back to XPO in March. There is really no difference in my opinion, they both kinda s---ed.

More of that Region One "testing" as the Schneider jobs mentioned in the article were in Florida.
