Backroom Associate

Since this new position came into effect in December how many of the backroom associates are working weekends in other clubs?

Backroom associates working weekends? Haha, not at our club. They are early in early out.

at our club there is no one back there on the weekends, we don't have a part timer to work weekends. The Damages and other claims items just build up until Monday and then it takes them almost all day to get that caught up. Its kind of sad that it is that way. But no one wants to work at a place that will start you out at 11 bucks an hour when other places (Including retail) are starting new employees at 15 an hour where I live.

Why would one get a raise and the other not? This seems unfair but what else is new.

And this is how we bend the rules for long term associates, we just never learn to be consistent with policy. These people were selected without giving anyone else a chance to apply for position. This is where we get in trouble with favoritism, they set themselves up for criticism and low morale in clubs.

So yeah, not much has changed, its all talk.

Ours alternate Saturdays, with having the following friday off. One works 5 to 130 and the other 7 to 330. Nothing has changed as far as the jobs they do. One works the claims, the other works the dock. Both are doing the exact same thing as before the restructure, yet one got a 10 percent raise and the other did not. Will see what happens when we go to block scheduling.

Everybody should be working weekends, later shifts and every area not just claims or unloader.

Look at the potential law suit for the ones that left and nothing changed.

Stop worrying about backroom scheduling and do your job with the shift your scheduled.

You can see why we need to let all the 20+ year folks off. Wake up dude, it's retail.

I work Monday-Friday 5-1:30. I have not worked a weekend in 20 plus years and I will not be starting now!

At my club the 2 full timers work Monday thru Friday 5am to 1:30 and part timer works on Friday, Saturday and Sundays, "How about that"? Our previous claims works in claims and receiving office and the other full timer is the unloader. Part timer does only damages on the days she works and a little bit of receiving.

In my club, the recieving associates are whiney and have a horrendous sense of entitlement. They throw their rear ends and get their way because they're better than everyone and the company owes them something.

Company is on seven day receiving. If you work in receiving there are seven possible days you should work.
