Verizon to purchase Frontier, Centurylink

Big Red, in a push to gain momentum with 5G and FTTP, will acquire both Frontier and Centurylink. Frontier’s value has fallen since the purchase of California, Texas, and Florida and will be at a heavy discount. Centurylinks value is in its fiber backbone. Verizon is assessing smart home applications and products to replace TV as a value added product. Verizon wireless will continue closing call centers and stores in order achieve their goal of $10 billion saved.

Now if VZB diched off a lot of people they would be more attractive to be purchased

Somehow, Verizon buying CenturyLink isn't all that surprising (wondering if Verizon is going to buy Lumens Technologies or vice versa). Because at the moment there seems to be an AWFUL LOT of plausible deniability for who actually owns the various numbers I look up online for being made by spammers.

I don't see Verizon Purchasing Frontier Communications, they sold off the customers to dig them selves out of a financial ditch. Customers have also moved on since and if they come back they would have a lot of trust to regain customers would feel more like well you dumped us for money left us with trash and then came back. it does not look too good for them. it was a really poor decision to dump their fiber lines off on Fronteir. I mean of they think about it they could have found a way to flip their poor profits and then with the available fiber they have left over that's being un used they could have possibly used it to off put network pressure on 5G UW to ultimately push they 5G plan. but at the same time nothing is a reliable than Fiber FTH is magical. its safe to say Verizon F'ed up.

I do not think that Verizon has the money to buy either or both of the mentioned. At best would be a merger with no cash/stock; but then Verizon would hold even more debt.

Seriously doubt Verizon is in the mood to buy anything unless it were strictly fiber in the ground.

Lowell dumped his Verizon stock, 5G overhyped, and TV customers bleeding out. The writing is on the walls.
