Eisp rumors

Rumors were coming out of the ying yang for months and now nothing! What’s going on? Is it poor planning? Maybe the company doesn’t know what direction it is going? Anyone hear anything or did the eisp go away until the end of the contract?

No wireline lay-offs here. Just a bunch of union bums looking for a handout. Maybe go have a CWA circle jerk session and all your EISP hopes and dreams may come true.

It would make sense to offer an EISP before the pension increase in August of this year.

And if an early retirement offer was made to 44,000 salaried employees, it is evident this company wants to get rid of senior employees. Those with pensions,. 6 weeks paid vacation, one year of paid short term sickness benefits.

So we wait and hope. It may come sooner than we think!

Take this nonsense to the EISP board. I don't care about an EISP...

Why would they offer EISP? They already know most of us with 27 or more years of service are leaving by the end of contract. It's going to be a mass exodus in 2023,

@1qx

Directors make the decisions on locations and numbers at each location but only after the eisp is announced from the company. The directors have nothing to do with if/when one is announced.

@jnn

I keep hearing that people are leaving on their own but I haven’t seen it and I don’t know anyone else who has seen it. I’m sure there are some leaving for health reasons or they are at social security age but they are few and far between. Like I said, I haven’t heard of one person leaving on their own.

when you say upper management what level are you talking? don't the directors say who goes and how many?

The fact is, No one knows until it is announced.

Upper management does not tell anyone in advance. They don't want their employees to plan their lives more than 15 days in advance.

Why would Verizon offer a buyout when we have people leaving on a regular basis without one?
