It's funny that Charlie is saying this was a miscommunication when he himself said in his earlier town hall that people could continue WFH but just wouldn't be working here! It's on the video!

It’s not that US employees don’t want to stand up and fight (e.g., non-anonymous MSS posts expressing direct outrage from many US employees) it’s that the UK has actual laws designed to protect employees. This is a superb example of his hubris trumping any thoughtful analysis/ consideration for those laws. He’ll probably just blame Monique for the debacle and back off now that there is a backlash against HIM directly in the press.

Either way it seems to have hit a nerve in Britain. UK seem more willing to stand up for themselves and fight for it than in the US

LOL rank amateur! Who doesn’t check local labour laws in the UK before laying out a blanket policy? Oh and the email is all lies since he’s only rolling it back because he got caught legally, not because he gives a damn about how lives have been impacted.

Damage control. Maybe change the path the firm is heading.

The good thing is Charlie trumps manager discretion. You are back as you were mid November until otherwise told. Several months. He claims the wfh ban was a miscommunication. Someone other than him.

This feels to good to be true. I’m curious to hear the directions I get tomorrow. Will my BAH staff truly be safe?

Saw the email, but probably just another gimmick.

Tomorrow we'll have to deal with management being confused and telling some individuals they can't go back to their prior arrangements. Some people will be able to revert to mid-November arrangements while others, for one reason or another, will be denied by management trying to use their own discretion.

His email addresses BAH as well. Lawsuit in UK caused the revert

What about BAH?

Our people that applied for 2 days at home were approved a while ago.

Our Based at Home (BAH) full time telecommuters have been approved by local management but Awaiting HR Approval.

Were all of these approved?

A big win for all of us! I hope that this is the first step to us taking our company back. Great job!
