But is WFH really back, or just a PR stunt to avoid lawsuits?

My group, and another entire operational organization under Peter are also “hitting pause and not going back and forth until management makes a decision in a few months”. So to me it seems managers are still scared to let people WFH fearing retribution from a Charlie. Something is up.

This seems no different than applying in the new portal but behind the scenes upper management had already blocked it. Or told people to not even bother to apply.

I think in the US WFH still won’t be allowed, but was intentionally done to address the pending lawsuits in the UK.

Charlie isn’t going to go quietly on this. I guarantee it.

If I'm reading this correctly, Charlie is looking for the managers with bells of steel who unilaterally can remove the wfh "privilege' to do so which means he shifts the obligation to act to local managers. This means the biggest bells will remark themselves in his eyes and keep job vs those timid ones who will sign their exit papers. A thought.

Why is this so hard. He said go back to the way it was in November until the re-evaluate. It is weird management doesn’t seem to follow the message. More miscommunication? This place is a total cluster of hell

Unlikely that wfh will be removed. It just won’t be offered in the future.

I am sure chainsaw charlie will find another way to take away WHF! He was just made a fool of so I am sure someone of his status will not take that sitting down. Be prepared. Hopefully I am wrong.

WFH is up to manager within the policy set by corporate. Managers can still restrict WFH. If some got to liking more people in the office during the crackdown, they might want to continue despite the CEO email. Good luck.
