We are not going to be informed of why someone that has worked here for years or is a sensible person is let go over others with the same job title that have joined recently. That was shut down in our meeting yesterday. Telling people gathered for this meeting that we let people go - we don't need to announce who (this is a small office that saw who was told to pack a box). This company is something else. Can we have a bit of dignity for the guys doing the work and making well under 6 figures?

If anyone believes that decisions were based solely on numbers and not the personal preference of a person in a leadership role who was asked who they didn't mind axing, they've bumped their head hard.
every decision is the result of a number on a spreadsheet. Has nothing at all the do with the people. Unfortunately.
This company is toxic. Those of us who are getting chopped are blessed.
