Lastest rumor is possible sell off of Ford Credit to Barclay's while that finance subsidiary is still turning a decent profit. Recent VP (VP of Business Center Staffing ironically enough) hired from Barclay's, is touring Ford Credit locations during March. In turn, Ford Credit is franticly restructuring less profitable dealer w/s plans to increase ROE and has virtually stopped financing marginal retail customer's within the last 30 days.
I took a voluntary buyout last year FoMoCo with a 9 month package plus a pension. Unfortunately that offer is off the table for those who snubbed it in June 2018. Strap in for a ride my friends. April and May look to be a bit stressful for all Ford employees including Ford Credit. Jimmy-boy is slashing and burning.
