Made you click! No, really, this is SERIOUS NEWS!! My manager said our store is going to close due to low sales and interest in our building!! It's purely hush, hush, but I was anonymously told our store is going to close, because there's a company interested in our building, and we're going to sell it since we don't do well!! It won't be a mass round of closings, so we're going to quietly close.

No,I believe you....yes, there ARE SGMs getting info like this and are telling some people they work with. This is the scenario everyone is expecting anyway.
Store manager's goal is to keep everybody working at optimum till last minute if store is closing . Or keep everyone working at optimum if it isn't closing .
Telling anyone about the store closing doesn't make sense .
Telling everyone whoever posts here is starting c-ap does .
BS. The Store Manager isn't told the store is closing until the last minute or night before. As far as why your store would close, yes, that's exactly why our Sears store was closed. All stores are for sale now at any time to the highest bidder. Anyone who thinks Eddie bought the stores for a retail going forward concern is only fooling themselves. It's all about selling the real estate to make money. Look at the track record for proof.

Perhaps this manager is one of those who told their staff that the store was going to be closing so they’d have time to line up another job but wanted the fact that they’d been told to be hidden so that the manager himself wouldn’t lose his job prematurely!!
