The only way this would be fair across the board, if HO handled it completely. No overrides, or exceptions from management.

Even with the new point system, punishment is still at the managers discretion. The favorites will still go un-punished and the non favorable will be threatened with termination.

I have 70 hours ppto. For all of you who think you know it all, there are some states that have different rules to earning PTO and ppto.

We have scrubs that call out on a weekly basis yet still have jobs. A new system doesn't mean anything unless managers utilize it.

Some states had PPTO as a requirement years ago. The company just brought the non-law states on board. So, many people already have PPTO accumulated.

He probably has 30PPTO. Maybe had 60 total at the end of the year and it got split into 2 since that’s what they are doing. Either way 30PPTO is still good.

So you have been with the company for 17 years, the PPTO just started and you are already “sitting pretty” with 60 hours??? How did you get 60 hours so soon? For your years of service you should earn around 1 hour for every 30 hours you work. So you have already worked 1800 hours to earn those 60 hours of protected PTO??? Nice try, redo your math and be better next time you post.

@alm you are correct, and it's great! But you know what's going to happen. They will eventually take that away. It's what they do ..

The protected PTO benefits people that’s been with the company for several years. The new hires are the ones that are screwed because it takes them so long to get just 1 day. I’m sure this system was designed for the new hires since they are the ones that call off the most. I’ve been with the company for 17 years and I’m sitting pretty with 60 protected pto right now. Feels good knowing you can call off whenever you want and it won’t count against you. :)

Yeah but its takes 11 months just to get the full 6 days. Lol. You have some RIGHT now, who have used the little amount they collected already. Lol.

As long as you have protected PTO to cover your full shift hours, this points system is useless.
