Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Bnym offshore to onshirr

I am seeing Bnymellon laying of US workers and bringing India workers over for less money. Everyone’s so worried about the wall and Mexico, what about those of us with education losing jobs to Indian workers. Our professional jobs are are at risk.

I miss the phone meetings trying to understand the offshore (some onshore) workers attempt to communicate in the King’s English. For all of my career, the job ads always stated as a requirement - excellent communication skills. That went out the window, I guess, at some point.

But the bigger question is how can meaningful discussion occur when there is such a large language barrier?

While reading all these posts , i only wonder why no one from Poland team is fired or even commenting anything on this forum.

What is the discrimination for Poland team?

The jobs are going to Poland and not india..They themselves have their a** on fire.

But overall, there are too many jobs exported to India, costing hundreds of thousands of high paying job losses in the U.S.

You have wrong information mate, there are layoffs in India too. BNY already fired 300 in month of October right before our festival days. India will soon see a second batch of layoffs, so stop criticizing Indians.
