Beware GM Employees....! I work in IT and have been instructed to flag anyone who is accessing this website from their work devices.

Really the only thing going on here is people trying to get some sense of what is going on because inside GM there is nothing but silence. Everyone knows something is going to happen but absolutely no indications of how or when. It would seem ridiculous to flag people that are just desperate for information.
Wow wonder why employees are using this site? Maybe bc GM has strung us like puppets since Jan 2nd thinking everyday we walk in we will be let go. It’s been 80 days, just do it already and there will be no one on this site anymore. Simple.
If you use corp network, they can see it. That includes company wifi, even if you are on your personal phone. Whether or not they are really watching, that's another story. I don't see a lot of value monitoring that, seems petty to me.
IT can remotely login to your desktop and watch you typing stroke-by-stroke. Don't give them a reason to watch!
IT can track every single website you visit in near real time while using the corporate network. It doesn't matter if you are using a GM device or not.
Are you serious? How can IT tell what sites I access on my work phone real time?
I’m on my personal phone btw.
The whole intent of open concept was to "fit in as many engineers in a building as possible." With open concept, you can push a bunch of engineers/employees clustered together. They (GM big-wigs) planned for open concept so they can start downsizing (Pontiac transfers to Tech Center, etc.) where they have 'space' based off of a first-come-first-serve mentality to desks.
Everything was pre-planned. They do not care about the morale or their people. They only care about the bottom dollar.
Management has likely already made their decisions on who will be laid of. Anyone flagged at this point is a mute point.
That'll get rid a lot of dead weight.
They should FIRE the business manager that surveyed the entire organization about the open floor layout plan. There was a 90% disapproval rating, so they made sure to kick that into high gear. Only makes sense. We have the brightest at the highest level of the corporation.
Remove the top, save a fortune, bring sanity back to the organization.
Oh no! What are they going to do? Lay me off?
Make sure you get the executive and upper management teams as well.
We could save tens or hundreds of millions if we got rid of that lot.
OP is full of it
Yes. Me as well. Interestingly enough, I have flagged you.
