Trying my best to find a new job in the new ywar.this place is the worst
Smart people are already planning their exit. That should be no surprise due to low pay, managers that have no management experience or expertise in the business they’re assigned to, (in what would be considered serious roles in other organizations), and no product value.
I’ve heard from many in the industry they included BNY Mellon in business bids. They were/ are always the cheapest and their business level client facing people some of the best, but neither could make up for product deficiencies. Who could succeed in that environment, in the past, present or in the future? Why would they stay and be set up for failure when success is achievable at a better firm?
It will take years for the leadership there to try to catch up with what should be their competition.
Start applying now before the recession starts!
Could this OP be Monique trying to determine what motivates the last remaining people so she and Charlie are able to take away "what would stop you from leaving ". Hmmm.
My two cents and I can be 1000% wrong here. I have about 30 years of experience in the industry and I’ve been around the block (worked for one direct and one indirect competitor). You will have a difficult time finding a same-size company in our industry that will be radically different and/or significantly better from a business operations and ‘good place to work at’ stand point. I guess this was my way of saying ‘you’ll have difficult time finding greener grass’… Good luck to all, we’ll need it!
Waiting to see how much micro-managing really happens before I decide. But, I'm not going to be a prisoner to management though. If I can't have freedom to me that means they don't trust me, so therefore I don't want to work there anyways. I have no reason to lose my wfh flexibility/independence when all I do is deliver. I'll go somewhere that treats me much better until the same thing happens at the next company. Most employers aren't loyal to people and I will have no loyalty to them.
I am planning to stay because I really like the people I work with. Very knowledgeable group, eveyone is doing an excellent job and is really friendly. I like the work we do, it is interesting most of the time. I can learn things and grow. I do not like the new floors at 240G with no personal space, this really s---s.
I may very well be laid off at any time, but I will miss my group.
I'm staying until they throw me out, although I have no idea if they plan on keeping me or not.
I left in December and I’m so glad I did. My team barely has any work, has a senior manager who doesn’t give a f--- about us, and has the worst culture of sitting and doing nothing. Yet they are hiring someone else to replace me!
Ridiculous company. Run.

Choo Choo Charlie will be the last one to turn the lights out. Even NYC rats won't hang with this guy, they know a bigger rat when they smell one. The smells coming out of 15 are horrendous!! No wonder not many eat on 16, all those odors! Surprised the NYC Board of Health hasn't been sent in to inspect and exterminate the vermin.
