This contract employee (on work visa) was hired last year. She figured out a way to manipulate the system. She’s sleeping around with the managers/ directors. Not even putting in 8 hours of work taking two hour lunches and still getting paid for her regular hours. Constantly calling in sick and working from home( where GM has a policy of contract employees not permitted to work from home. She is able to milk the system because she’s figure out a way manipulate the manager with her looks and s-xual favors. Sad to see people employeed with GM for 20 plus years are loosimu their jobs but yet these kind of unprofessional people are protected. She has been notified that her job is safe.

For those that have been there for 33 years, why didn't you take the buyout option to help the company?
To the others, I was a contractor and I was allowed to work from home as long as I didnt need to do tests in a vehicle on the grounds.
I would be curious about where OP is getting info about her being safe, I know I wouldn't share with anyone if I had been told that
@XausYb1-emrz Group?Location?
We have 3 salaried employees on my team and one crotchety contract worker. Sounds like all the salaried employees are getting laid off (all very young) and the old, crotchety contractor is safe.
which work visa is she in..?....h4b ead permit
is she hotter than our CFO???
I have one contractor in my team who is really not needed because we have same 2 more full time employee which is same skillset as contractor.
I wish a bunch of managers and directors would f--- me!
There is no question that if she is s-xually attractive and had already given "favors", as OP suggests, she is a protected commodity. The filthy, corrupt mgmt has no problem firing the 20+ year dedicated employee for "making too much money" while keeping somebody like this for their own gratification.
This thread is hot...
OP is full of c-ap. Nobody was told they are safe, and nobody would have told this person if they were told this.
Calling BS on this. Used to be a contractor before crossing the blue line.
There is no ban on contractors working from home - that is ridiculous. I've seen orgs with contractors that deserve a blue badge but are shut out because of useless direct hires hogging the slots.
Instead of focusing on her schedule so much, why don't you be useful and do your work?
It’s sad these kind of people are still employed
SKILLS that I don't have.
GM does not have a policy forbidding contract workers from working from home. WFH policies are governed by managers (hence not the same for all areas) so there might be areas where this is a valid policy, but , in general, contractors are allowed to WFH.
We have 3 contract employees in our department. They all were told their job is safe. They will be working through the end of the contract term. Though their contract won’t be renewed.
What department does she work in? Is she hot??
Seems little hard to believe but I guess anything can be possible.
I only know of one contractor to survive so far in my small world, and that was by accident. They're the last man standing to do what they do. Everyone else took the buyout. Still no guarantee after the next few weeks.
With my 33 years with GM I have realized, there is no reward for being a good employee. Years of service, being a good employee and loyal to the company means nothing.
