Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

THEY figure they OWN you!!!

Be careful anyone out there bc They think they own you..... even after you leave to better yourself and your family. For as many good employees that this poorly managed company has pushed out you would think they wouldn’t care if you just left on your own. Also be careful out there bc there are still some sneaky workers that are most likely brain washed and have holes rubbed through their knees on their jeans that like to rat ppl out or write ppl up on a radar cards. Good luck to all the ppl out there on board the sinking ship!!

He still there, but all management is A$$ kissers and yes men. The good ones are gone, the us bad ones are still here sopping up these piddley checks until something better comes along. But don't worry, we ain't trying no more. Its harder to do our job than it should be so we turn it down and fill out radar cards. We haven't gone on jobsites, so no accidents. Our safety record gets better everyday. Its a win, win!

Bernard and his predecessor ran up mountains of debt through poor fiscal management and acquired a lot of smaller companies which didn't add sufficient value to the company.

20 years of chronicly unprofitable work will do this to a company.

Should have stuck to core businesses and not tried to be SLB.

The question is? How did this company get into so much debt? How did this company not succeed to be able to make a profit when times were good in the industry? It’s confusing isn’t it? Tens of thousands of hard working ppl that worked for this company got the boot. Not really sure who is all left standing and how long these employees will have jobs. Yes Weatherford is/was a huge company, but so are Schlumberger and Halliburton. You look at the price of each companies stock...... WFT 0.57, HAL 32.25, SLB 44.73........ quite a difference. Something had to have gone wrong big time within whether it was senior upper management or accounting wise..........thoughts anyone???

Sounds like the reply of a poor excuse for a manager. Heard rumors that more layoffs to come soon majority will be in US with some in Canada but they've already shut down some smaller operations and cut a few more key people and kept the c-ap at certain stores continues to be a hub for a** kissers especially if your in management. Once Weatherford reports Q4 2018 results their shares will be a 10 cents but Weatherford's always been good and putting lip stick on a pig I'm sure they come up with some excuse and why its not their fault they continue to not meet what they say they can do. Anybody outside this company buying shares is just looking for a quick pump and dump before they completely go insolvent. Customers should look elsewhere for oilfield product as soon they won't be able to supply product and the stuff they are sending out the door is pretty suspect.
