Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

That’s messed up

I’m laughing because we were all at the edge of our seats waiting on news today. This company will announce changes soon. But sure they are trying to keep their reputation in mind. They couldn’t allow associates to pull up to a closed store 2 years in a row. This time they will have more structure I’m sure. Wishing you all the best.

This is true the Axe dropped yesterday 2/5/2019 @ 3:00 p.m.. PTC's were informed positions have been eliminated, they have till March 29 to secure a position or leave the company. Sad day at Sam's club. Most PTC's are the heart of the club's. Good luck to all 😢

I don't think it depends on the pay period. Everyone will get 60 days pay anyway. And they're not going to just close the store without sell everything first. They aren't going to just lock the doors. I have a feeling this is going to go into February, but I hope I'm wrong.

22nd or 29th. They love Tuesdays. Fiscal year pay period ends with only one day (Feb 1st, a Friday) in the new fiscal year. So they still have 2 weeks to decide how to announce bad news.

Looking at the calendar and I don't know either. Maybe it'll hit tomorrow? I would think the last day to be open would be the 31st. 🤷

I agree with everything you said. What I don't get is why they will let this go into the new fiscal year. Will they close faster this time? Will they not care about fiscal year? Tic toc.. time will tell.

Yes, I agree. They called a morning meeting for the 1st time in months. We all thought...here it comes. Turns out a meat associate received their orange belt and they were announcing! Lol!
