Consolidate departments. Eliminate redundancies. Staff people with the competencies to implement your plan. Eliminate obstacles, the incompetent, and naysayers.

Recover resources. Sell excess for capital.

Eliminate waste and overhead. Improve efficiency. Outsource where you can realize cost savings over bloated internal departments.

Invest in infrastructure, development projects, and people to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and increase returns and cash flow prioritizing whales and deprioritizing minnows.

Repeat until done.

In his year at the bank the biggest thing Charlie's changed is the dress code. And these layoffs are really supposed to jump start everything in the OP? Get real. This was lazy cost-cutting (and subsequent loss of knowledge), nothing more.

Where does overpaid CEO's making 15 million +fit into your recipe with golden parachutes & no ideas other than cutting productive employees so they can take 20 million next year ?

Go back to your moms basement and study your management 101 book some more junior.
