Rumor I heard from North Platte today is that they are cutting 60 carmen and 4 or 5 yardmasters. Anyone hear this as well?

likes the personal touch. Guess they had people out there over the past few weeks documenting late starts, and early quits. They are going to cut one job at every location for every shift. 30% cuts in the yard, union mostly.
With all this reduction in facilities and personal and the disposal or storage of equipment yet they build a bigger yard here in Hearne,Tx. Now how will that be looked at, as waste or better judgement of managements 2020 idea's. Here's your sign of knowledge.
He has a planned trip Tuesday 22 Jan, wants to know why there is so much reliance on one yard on the northern region. Thinks it is unnecessary to rely on one location for so much "waste". Little understanding that while Bailey is one yard it actually is 7 entities consolidated into one. Cutting the workforce in abundance.
