Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The cashierless program couldn’t survive at Walmart, there is no reason why it could survive at Sam’s

I understand WM’s urge to technically advance its stores and god knows Sam’s has been treated like a playground for WM, but at this point, these things just make it more difficult for customers to shop, not to mention the possibility that it opens for stealing. I see this being abandoned by the end of the year.

Cashier run lanes, at our store, are at a level 3 all the time. We're lucky if we have three lanes open during the weekend. Members hate it. They tells us so.

Self checkouts at Sam's has only made the lines at staffed checkouts longer and longer. Average lanes open with actual live cashiers is two. This is ridiculous, especially during holidays when people are purchasing more age restricted items, like alcohol.
