Is your store having trouble hiring new associates? We have have the help wanted sign out for months and can't fill the positions. Our HRM is currently standing by the front door offering on-the-spot interviews. We are also using bag stuffers advertising our open positions.
Seems the word is out about Lowe's being a sh--ty company to work for.
Hell, we can’t fill two F/T Stocker positions for 3 months, and we have been tolded we start over nights starting on 3 February and only one Stocker will be there. Oh well, do what you can, don’t kill yourself for Lowe’s, leave left over stock on the floor and go home at 8 hours. That’s what I’m going to do.
The Problem with Lowe’s hiring is the champagne taste but a beer budget. I remember telling our market director that in a meeting 5 or so years ago and she looked at me like I was stupid. My recommendation from 8 years of wasted time there is for you to get out if you have good work ethic. You can't connect the dots looking forward when making the jump; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots somehow connect in your future. Just believe in yourself and Make the jump. Lowe’s will probably crumble like sears in the next 15 years, and has become chuck in a truck when it comes to reliability.
Our newest gem is out on parole.....wait for it..... breaking and entering and theft. He's also been out 4 times in three weeks (one of which was a no call no show) bravo Lowe's you are getting the cream of the crop these days.
Our store manager even resorted to posting our want ads on his Facebook page.

Very few folks need part-time seasonal work in this economy. All the Lowe's mass layoffs done on conference calls doesn't help any, either.
We now hire people who wearing ankle monitors. If they pass the background check?!
